New Releases: The Chariot, Zao, The Devil Wears Prada
We had several hours of downtime last night, so posts might be a bit light today. Apologies to those who wanted to give us a piece of your mind. We won’t say anything bad about our awesome web host though. If we say nice things they might give us a deal.
And now back to your daily regimented diet of music news and useless opinion.
There’s a lot to filter through here this week. We’ve got the good (Akron/Family, St. Vincent, The Chariot, The Devil Wears Prada, Zao), the “sure why not” (Conor Oberst, Starfucker, El Grupo Nuevo de Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, Isis, Hatebreed, Ben Harper) and plenty of other options with which you should practice discernment.
Just don’t say you weren’t warned about feeling slightly violated (and okay with it) after you listen to Larry Tee.

New Zao and xExCx seem okay. Will check them out.
Will not touch the Chariot or TDWP.
Holy crap…Ozric is still going.
Fourth unrelated sentence.

Listened to the entire ZAO album on their Myspace and it’s pretty damn good. Very different than what I’ve heard from them in the past.

My review would be more like:
Listened to the entire Zao album from the CD I bought and it’s pretty good. No significant deviations from what I’ve heard from them in the past.
