Rachel Grimes Playing Boomslang
You might know Rachel Grimes from her eponymous band Rachel’s a little while back. However, you might not know that she’s doing her own thing these days, as something of an in-demand, avant-classical musician.
Not only has she toured with the Oscar-winning Swell Season, but she recently released an album that includes a pristine vinyl version from Karate Body (Louisville represent!).
In addition to playing Lexington’s Boomslang Festival this weekend alongside Os Mutantes, The Black Angels, Faust, Mission of Burma and Papa M, among others, she’s also treating Louisville to something of an album release party at 21C tomorrow night.
