Yep, you heard right. Shellac is going to be here in Louisville Nov. 21 at The 930 Listening Room. Sadly, it’s not the most joyous occasion that brings Steve Albini and company to the Derby City.

Jason Noble — whom you might remember as a member of Rodan, Rachel’s and Shipping News — was diagnosed with cancer in August, and the show, which also features Shannon Wright, is a benefit for him and his family.

Since it’s not like you get to see Shellac around these parts just any old time, I’d suggest ignoring any plans you’ve made to support a good cause and see these dudes. You won’t regret it.
