Weezer Might Be Opening Up for Blink 182

Rumors have been circulating that Weezer will be the opener for the upcoming Blink 182 reunion tour. Now I know that Weezer is only a shell of its former self in terms of street cred and quality, but seeing Rivers and the boys priming the crowd to hear What’s My Age Again round two — a.k.a. “we need some more money again” — well, it just makes me die a little on the inside.

change that from blue to pinkerton, and you might be on to something. blue album was good, too. but pinkerton outshines everything.

I saw Angels and Airwaves open for Weezer a few months ago… Weezer completely blue them off the stage…

I saw Weezer once pre-Green, once a week before Green, and once several months after Green.
The decline in quality over that period was mind boggling.

If this is true, I can’t imagine how much ticket prices will be.

As much as I love Weezer, I’m with Sean. I just died a little inside myself.
If I were Blink 182, I’d feel retired singing some of those songs…then again, I do need to pay bills..

Blink sould be the opening act. Weezer is just fine, thank you. Saw them in 2008. The enjoyability of the show was better than anything I’d seen deom them since 1997.

duuude. you guys suck major. why should blink182 be ashamed of singing any of there old songs. mark hoppus once said,” you only get a few years to act like immature bastard and have a good time and get paid a ridiculous amoutn of money for it.” guys. blink-182 was never dead. they left in the prime. and now they are coming back stronger than ever. it might not be the same blink, but i guarentee it will be amazing. you guys just need to know more about what your saying. haha blink doesn’t need any money. travis has famous stars and straps. Tom DeLonge has Macbeth. seriously don’t be dumb and do your research before you write another little forum like this. it really was dumb… lol

this might be an indicator as to the type of new music blink has planned for their new album. the Blue Album, and Dude Ranch are easily my two favourite albums ever. These bands both have a lot of awesome music from the past, The red album proved weezer still has it, here’s hoping blink can remember their “carousel” days, and still have fun making new music. .. A&A lacked stage presence when they opened for weezer, but blink has huge stage presence… I think this would be a wild double bill.

In response to Austin,
This is a BLOG! No one needs to do any research shit for it. Also no one said anything that was incorrect. Although I don’t agree with somethings, everyone has a right to say what they think. We don’t need assholes like you who think, because they looked up an interview online and saw a quote mark hoppus once said, think they know everything. Sheesh. But anyway, I would not mind actually seeing blink 182 perform their old songs again, it would be pretty sick. Weezer also puts on a good show and would be a great opening act. My two favorite bands for sure. I am killing for these tickets.
