Conan, NBC Finalize Exit Deal

What we’ve all known for some time now is official: Conan O’Brien will leave The Tonight Show after this week. Coco and NBC have apparently signed a deal that will let him go with around $32 million in his pocket after his last show tomorrow night, which will include Will Ferrell, Tom Hanks and Neil Young as guests.
While it’s good that we can finally see what the next chapter of Conan’s career will hold (and hopefully we find out soon), we know that it won’t include the masturbating bear or Pierre Bernard’s recliner of rage. That’s right, if you weren’t already aware, NBC isn’t allowing the Cone Zone to take any of his skits to another network. Who knows, though. Maybe we’ll get the self-stimulating grizzly and Pierre’s futon of ferocity instead.

It makes sense that Conan wouldn’t be able to port any of his material since it was most likely property of the writers/network, even before the release contract.
Not a problem though…the Cone Bone is an excellent writer and I’m sure he can spot the same.
