It’s not like Louisville’s Lebowski Fest is hurting for media attention. It’s become a well-documented phenomenon lo these past nine years. But the interest of media types seems to be piqued more and more every year. And why wouldn’t it be, since achievers the world over abidingly make the trek to roll and enjoy a few white Russians in celebration of the Cohen brothers masterpiece.

So it’s no surprise that ABC News/Nightline will be on hand to take in the what have you for the ninth annual Lebowski Fest. It’s pretty encouraging to see that, even after so many years, something so genuinely bizarre (but also awesome!) can still attract even more attention from the mainstream media. Those Dateline dudes better be nice, though. We wouldn’t want the nihilists to cut off their johnsons.
