Morning Buzz: iTunes, Against Me!, Yo Gabba Gabba!
:: Tom Gabel released the album artwork for the new Against Me! album, and it’s kind of NSFW.
:: 10 grand for the 10 billionth song from iTunes. Not a bad deal.
:: New season of Yo Gabba Gabba! means more indie rockers making hyperactive kids get on adults’ nerves even worse. Then again, I do that to my wife with no help at all.
:: Metal Underground recaps the last decade of metal — running the gamut between kvlt, tr00, NWOAHM, nu and other ridiculous, made-up phrases for those superfluous subgenres.
:: So I’m guessing it’s cheaper to have high school juniors taking intermediate art classes do a sketch than it is to pay a photog for a photo shoot.
:: If you had any respect for Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy, you shouldn’t now.
:: Random tracks that don’t suck:
Ted Leo and the Pharmacists – The Mighty Sparrow
Christie Front Drive – Bag
A.C. Newman – Miracle Drug

Dude, I actually have more respect for Mike than I already did. This just shows that he’s a nice guy and willing to help out a band who obviously looks up to him. I would probably lose respect for him if he didn’t do them the favor, considering that they just lost a bandmate/friend.

Is the Itunes billionth song thing still going on?, Ithought it got nixed because Apple makes some ridiculous profit on it.

I don’t mind Portnoy did that, even if just for money. I’d do the same thing.

Yea, I respect that. Friendship and consideration trump musical preference.

Damn when is THE AQUABATS gonna make their presents known on YO GABBA GABBA? Oh, and someone tell the professor to stop teaching the kids to draw dumb pictures. Why doesn’t he show his two-headed Cat. You can pet one kitties head and pet the other kitties head… i love that song.

Sure it kind of sucks, but the bass on “Party in My Tummy” kicks pretty hard … at least according to a three-year-old I know.
