Slayer Cancels Tour With Megadeth
Everyone was stoked when Slayer and Megadeth announced the American Carnage Tour (with Testament taking up the slack). But no more stokeage, boys and girls. Or at least not for a while.
Due to frontman/bassist Tom Araya’s back problems, Slayer had to cancel the tour dates — at least for now. It’s looking like the dates may be rescheduled. Here’s what the band’s manager, Rick Sales, had to say about Araya’s issues:
Tom gave various medical treatments more than a fair shot,” said SLAYER’s manager Rick Sales, “but they just haven’t handled the problem, so he’s biting the bullet and is scheduled for back surgery at the end of this month.
