Remember this fact: Just because Lars Ulrich likes something doesn’t mean it’s bad. So fans of The Sword, take heart. That means you don’t have to be ashamed of have something in common with Metallica‘s whiniest member (if you don’t count Mustaine, of course).

You’re perfectly justified to get all worked up about the band charting studio sessions with Matt Bayles (known for his work with Mastodon, Isis and Minus the Bear, among others). The upcoming third full-length from The Sword, which will hit the streets later this year thanks to Kemado, is the first featuring a producer. And considering Bayles resume, I would imagine that’s a good thing.
