New Releases: Michael Ian Black, Army Navy, Against Me!
I know it’s been a while — both for me and for the new releases — but things will be picking up now that I’m able to sleep more than three hours at a time and I’m not working two full-time jobs. Speaking of which, my new job entails hosting After Dark on WFPK here in Louisville. So tune in if you want to be lulled to sleep Monday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m.
Plus Seth is posting again. So it’s just like the old days, except I have less hair on my head. And more on my back.
With all that blah blah blah out of the way, I’m not particularly intrigued by this week’s offerings. In fact, two releases at the top of my list aren’t even music. They’re comedy albums from Michael Ian Black and Marc Maron.
As far as bands and such, you might want to consider new stuff from Army Navy, Sleeping Bag and Anni Rossi. The two-part Against Me! reissue seems interesting as well, but I don’t know if all the extra goodies are worth it.
Also, I’m assuming the Gaither Vocal Band and Tom Wopat records are bangin’ pretty hard.

I just watched the Michael Ian Black standup from Comedy Central on DVR. There is some pretty funny stuff in there, but the jokes/stories are a little drawn out.
