She & Him Working Late-Night TV Circuit

Need something to do later tonight? Then tune into Late Night with Conan O’Brien (the best show on television) to see She & Him perform.

Not content to rest on their late-night laurels, the duo — consisting of M. Ward and Zooey Deschanel — will also be appearing on the less-funny-but-similarly-timed Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson April 28.

I wonder if they’ll perform the same song on both shows. What a faux pas that would be.

Hey look, it’s Eddie Van Halen, Brad Pitt, and Lemmy from Motörhead! Actually it’s two dudes from As I Lay Dying and Don Clark from Demon Hunter, part of that Grammy thing from this past weekend.

Arcade Fire to Sue FOX Network

Fox will soon feel the wrath of The Arcade Fire. Seems the TV network used one of their songs during that whole Super Bowl thing and thought no one would have noticed. Well, at least indie rock kids who should have been wallowing away at some bar or something.

“The song was featured in a montage ad for NHL on Fox that appeared during the halftime show. Some fans have pointed out that the song has been used “on NFL on Fox ads throughout the football season.”

Sesame Street Is For Adults

Early episodes of Sesame Street are now on DVD, but they’re not for kids:

According to an earnest warning on Volumes 1 and 2, “Sesame Street: Old School” is adults-only: “These early ‘Sesame Street’ episodes are intended for grown-ups, and may not suit the needs of today’s preschool child.”

Say what? At a recent all-ages home screening, a hush fell over the room. “What did they do to us?” asked one Gen-X mother of two, finally. The show rolled, and the sweet trauma came flooding back. What they did to us was hard-core. Man, was that scene rough.

Fall Out Boy Singer On Law And Order

Patrick Stump, singer of Fall Out Boy, will be in a new episode of Law and Order.

… his name isn’t “Patrick Stump,” it’s “Marty Dressler,” and he’s not the silver-throated lead singer of a multiplatinum rock act, but rather a lowly cubicle-monkey at a local energy company.
