I’m not sure which day it is, however we’ve got a few days off due to canceled shows, (not our fault, we’re sorry and we’ll make it up to you guys that the show got canceled.) Tour has been going awesome though, I’ve adopted Trevor from Our Last Night as my son, we’ve given him sharpie full sleeves, and had the pleasure of getting to know those boys. Oh, Sleeper were awesome, but they’ve left us for bigger and (not so much) better things like touring with Finch (she burns!) We just met up with Wrench in the Works, but haven’t gotten to hang out with them yet. And the boys in Life In Your Way continue to put on the best live set I’ve ever seen. It’s SUCH a blessing hanging out with them. We’ve been teasing *their* Todd about With Honor, but that’s because we love him and them. We made it to the beach but it is kinda null and void, a) because it’s the middle of winter so it’s stupidly cold, and b) it was around midnight when we got there. But now we’re in Birmingham hanging out with some friends. LIYW is supposedly taking us out for dinner tomorrow o_O Anyway, it’s roughly 3 am, I’m gonna get some sleep. Go buy Gwen Stacy’s new record. Go buy Life In Your Ways record. Go listen to Our Last Night so you can say you knew them before they were huge and say, “once nothing who?” And if you have some time, we have a nice, new little record out called, “First Came the Law,” Currently: married to the road, |

Dear anyone who might happen by this corner of the internet, So the first week of tour is over. Last night an amazing show in Nashville. So thank you so much to anyone who was there and made it special. Realize that no matter who you are, your excitement as an audience member can truly bless us as a band, and more importantly as individuals. There a a few people in particular that propelled me through last nights set. I think you know who you are. Legendary comedian Buddy Hackett once told an audience “If you treat every comic like you treated me tonight, you’ll never see a bad show in your life.” Perhaps a dramatic statement to apply to our silly little band’s music. But its from the heart. You make the shows. First impressions of this tour: I am in a privileged position. This opportunity is one I do not want to take for granted. But also one that doesn’t encompass the whole of who I am. Every night I play music I love. And watch bands that kill it on stage. Our Last Night is the most talented young band I have seen in a long time. (Tonight we drew a full sleeve of tattoos on their 14 year old trevor to make him look extra old and tough!) And if there was ever any two bands that i never don’t mind showing us up every night it would be Once Nothing and Oh Sleeper. But I digress. I realize that I love music. And that it only serves to connect me to bigger pictures, important issues, and individual’s struggles. Not set me apart like I so often let it. So please be praying that all eyes are just opened more and more as we continue, and that real change can set into our lives, with music being the platform. Perhaps a vague and heady first entry. But it leads me to tell you about the Invisible Children shirt that we have available this tour. It was designed by our friends in Three Bears Designs. All of the profit goes straight to the Invisible Children organization. If you have not heard of it, please research it. Let’s find things to care about and change, even if you only think you are doing a little. Thanks for listening. Blessings, |

| Beginnings And Such | ||
Ahhh, the first post for the Chill Out Tour. We’re happy to helping along Life In Your Way and their jaunt across this great land. Hopefully we get a hold of some good photos and video of these guys, and this will be the place to see all that fun kind of stuff. And then we get some “from the road” updates from the guys. That’ll be fun, right? Yea, we thought so. Enjoy. |
